Clean and lengthen service life of your cosmetic brush sets

We all know that having the best equipment and tools for when you do a specific job makes it so much easier. Now keep that in mind when you apply your makeup. Make-up application is a lot easier with the use of good make up tools. Cosmetic brush sets provide a more precise application of make-up. It also allows good blending. Sometimes, cosmetic brush sets can be a little expensive, especially if you want to invest in long-lasting brushes. That is why it is important to increase the life span of your cosmetic brush sets, you do not only have to buy good make-up brushes, but you have to learn to take care of them.
Taking care of your make up tools is also taking care of your own skin, because dirty make-up brushes could ruin your skin or give you bad allergies. Unclean brushes have bacteria left in the surface, and every time you put on your make-up with them, the bacteria transfer onto your face. The bacteria will keep building up until you clean your make up tools. Clean brushes actually work better, since no color or product has been left in them.
Most make-up experts recommend using a shampoo in cleaning the make up tools, because after all the brushes are made with hair. However, since shampoos are not exactly anti-bacterial, bacteria may still be left on the surface of the brushes. Shampoo is not also a very ideal cleaning agent because it can wash away the natural oils in a brush, and soon you will find your brush dry and brittle. Ideally, a moisturizing, anti-bacterial liquid soap is good for the brushes. Some experts even recommend using an anti-bacterial dishwashing soap, mixed with a bit of olive oil. The dishwashing soap will kill the bacteria, while the olive oil will moisturize the brush hairs. You could also use an anti-bacterial hand wash, since most of these washes have moisturizing agent in them already.
What’s more running water will completely rinse off colors and you will be able to see if the brush is clean by looking at the color of the water. You can repeat soaping the make up tools if you desire. Once rinsed, you may now put your brush on glass with the brush facing down. This will allow the brush's excess water to fall. Water can damage the natural glue on the make up tools and that will cause the hair to fall, also remember not to put your make up tools under sunlight, allow the them to air dry.
